Chiltern League Cross Country - Saturday afternoon 7 February 2026
Chiltern league is a series of FREE off road cross country races where Bearbrook compete against other clubs from around the local area. The more members we have racing the more points we stand to get and/or take away from other clubs. Whether you consider yourself a speed demon or not doesn’t matter every competitor counts!
It’s a league, so every single race you do will count towards the club’s total and where we place in the year. It’s competitive, but also a great team event and a lot of fun.
Ladies run about 5 to 6km and men 8 to 10km in two separate races. There are also kids’ races from 11 years old upwards. For more information about the races, including the start times, please take a look at the Chiltern League website
Nearer to each race we'll arrange car sharing, so if you want we can travel to the races together.
We need as many people as possible to help us score points - at least 10 men and 6 women. Please speak to Rob, James or Lynn or anyone who’s been at the club a while to find out what it’s like. If it’s your first race of the season we’ll give you a race number when you arrive that you’ll keep for all the remaining Chiltern League races in the series.
If you’re planning on taking part please either mark yourself as “going” on the Facebook Events or if you're not on Facebook, let James Powell or Simon Griffiths know which dates you'll be at.
Remaining races this season

Bearbrook Annual Awards Night and Social - 19:00 Friday 30 January 2026
Address: Aylesbury Canal Society Marina, Stocklake, Aylesbury, HP20 1AP
Please join us to celebrate the achievements of our members over the last year.
We'll kick things off with a quiz for teams of up to 8 people, so start tapping people up now, or join a team on the night.
We're not taking individual orders, but we'll be getting a range of different meat and vegetarian pizzas delivered for after the quiz and before the awards part of the evening.
If you have any special dietary requirements (gluten free, vegan etc) please can you let us know by messaging Rob Palmer directly, so it doesn't get missed.
As in previous years, we'll round off the night with raffle to raise money for the club's charity of the year, so are looking for prizes. Bottles of wine, boxes of biscuits, chocolates, unwanted Christmas presents, that type of thing. Please bring any prizes along on the night or you can give them to a run leader in advance.
Partners very much welcomed. Tickets are £5, please buy them here
