Training Details
Club led run. Meet at Jansel Square car park, Bedgrove (HP21 7ES) at 7pm or you can meet us the tarmac path to the west of Spindle Green Park (wooden owl end) at about 7.10pm, already warmed up.
The run is intervals based (sections of running with rests between) and will be flat on tarmac paths.
10 min warm up
Option 1 - 12 x 2 mins @ 5k pace (or easier if racing on Friday) (1 min recovery), plus 4 x 45 secs @ quicker than 5k pace (45 secs recovery)
Option 2 - 2 x 16 mins @ threshold pace (1hr race pace) (3 mins recovery), plus 4 x 45 secs @ quicker than 5k pace (45 secs recovery)
10 min cool down
In our interval workouts we use out n backs or small loops. This lets people run at their own pace, while still keeping everyone close together and creates an inclusive atmosphere of everyone working as one group.
