Training Details
Club led run. The run is intervals based (sections of faster running at your own pace with rests between) and will be on flat tarmac footpaths.
Meet at Watermead car park (HP19 0FX) at 6.30pm.
Warm up
Option 1 - 5 x 6 mins @ threshold effort (1hr race effort) with 2 mins recovery
Option 2 - 4 sets of 3 mins, 2 mins, 1 min efforts with 90s recovery throughout aiming to run quicker as the reps get shorter
Start at a tempo / steady pace and aim to run quicker as the reps get shorter
Cool down
In our interval workouts we use out n backs or small loops. This lets people run at their own pace, while still keeping everyone close together and creates an inclusive atmosphere of everyone working as one group.
