Training Details

Club led run. Meet at the Fairford Leys Football Pitches car park, Andrews Way (HP19 8WA) at 7pm.

The run is intervals based (sections of running with rests between) and will be gentle hills on tarmac paths.

10 min warm up

Part 1 - 3 x 7 mins @ threshold (1hr race pace) with 2 mins recovery

or

6 x 3 mins @ 10k pace with 90 secs recovery

Part 2 - 6 x 45s steady downhill / fast back uphill with 1 min recovery 

For both options 1st half gentle downhill, 2nd half gentle uphill

10 min cool down

In our interval workouts we use out n backs or small loops. This lets people run at their own pace, while still keeping everyone close together and creates an inclusive atmosphere of everyone working as one group.
